Syria: A Tale of Plunder and Resurrection "ConflictWatch Feed Rojava"

The war on Syria has vanished from the collective West ethos. Yet its far from finished. Multitudes across the Global Majority may feel the deepest empathy towards Syrians while acknowledging not much can be done while the Western Minority refuses to leave the stage.

In parallel, there are slim chances the New Development Bank (NDB) the BRICS bank will start showering Damascus with loans for Syrias reconstruction. At least not yet, despite all the pledges by Russians and Chinese to help.

Under the lame excuse of degrading the position for ISIS, the US State Department de facto admits that the Empires illegal occupation of a third of Syria the part rich in oil and minerals currently being stolen/smuggled will persist, indefinitely.

Cue to virtually non-stop oil looting in northeastern Hasakah province, as in processions of dozens of oil tankers crossing to northern Iraq via the al-Waleed or al-Mahmoudiya border crossing, usually escorted by US-backed Kurdish separatist militias.

As if any reminding was needed, the Global Majority is fully aware ISIS is essentially an American black op, a spin-off of al-Qaeda in Iraq, born in camps at the Iraq-Kuwaiti border. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is hardly a democratic US proxy, predictably assembled as a coalition of ethnic militias, mostly run by Kurds but also incorporating a few Arab tribesmen, Turkmen, and Salafi-jihadi Chechens.

As if the non-stop looting of oil was not enough, the Pentagon keeps dispatching truckloads of ammo and logistical equipment to Hasakah.

Convoys run back and forth to illegal US military bases in the Hasakah countryside, with particular relevance to a base at the al-Jibsah oilfields near the town of al-Shaddadi.

Recently, 39 US military tankers crossed the illegal al-Mahmoudiya border towards Iraqi Kurdistan loaded with stolen Syrian oil.

Despite these crude facts, Russia remains excessively diplomatic on the issue. Mikhail Bogdanov, Putins special representative for the Middle East and Africa, recently told al-Arabiya, Washington uses the pretext of combating terrorism to be present east of the Euphrates in economically important areas, where crude oil and strategic natural reserves are abundant.

He highlighted US troops deployed at al-Tanf in southern Syria and American support fo...

Syria: a tale of plunder and resurrection "ConflictWatch Feed Isis"

While the wholesale theft of Syria's natural resources continues under the watch of illegal US troops, the Russian project of resurrecting ISIS-destroyed Palmyra stands as a stark reminder that ruins can rise again - if Syria's friends help pave the way. Why were the rebel logistics in 2012 and 2013 so bizarre? "ConflictWatch Feed Syria"

It seems like the battles for Aleppo and Damascus in summer 2012 began even as the rebels were still contesting the very towns that they themselves came from?

In May 2013, rebels from Aleppo were sent as reinforcements to Qusayr, seemingly bypassing hundreds of regime checkpoints?

During the battle of Damascus, hundreds of fighters came from Idlib, once again seemingly bypassing several hundred regime checkpoints?

Rebels launched a surprise offensive inside Hama city in March 2013 despite it being cut off from the rebel held countryside which was many miles away?

May 2013 in the immediate lead up to the Baniyas massacre, there was some kind of battle between rebels and soldiers in the town, with rebels apparently having a presence right on the very SAA controlled coastal plain?

How's any of this even possible?

US mulling multi-front offensive in Syria in collaboration with Takfiri terrorists "ConflictWatch Feed Iraq"

By Robert Inlakesh | Press TV | July 29, 2023

The US military is readying approximately 2,500 service members for deployment in the West Asian region, as its proxy forces in Syrias northeast and al-Tanf areas seek potential alliances with Takfiri terrorists in the northwestern Idlib province.

With tensions boiling between the Syrian government-aligned forces and the US occupation troops in the war-ravaged Arab country, it might be a sign of more violence on the way, observers believe.

According to a report published in New York local media in mid-July, some 2,500 10th Mountain Division soldiers were being sent off to combat in Iraq and Syria.

It is not exactly clear how many soldiers from the light-infantry division will be dispatched for operations in the two West Asian countries.

However, the number of forces being sent rings true with a report from the Turkish newspaper, Yeni Safak, that claimed Washington was preparing to send 2,500 troops to northeast Syria.

The US currently maintains, at least publicly, that it has around 900 active-duty service members deployed to Syria, a number which is speculated to be much higher.

If the US is indeed sending additional forces to the region, it could indicate that its objectives have slightly changed in the northeast of the country.

At this time, the Americans occupy roughly a third of Syrian territory and do so without any congressional approval, through its occupation which it uses the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to maintain it holds hostage the most fertile agricultural lands and roughly 90 percent of Syrias natural gas from the Damascus government.

Over the past years, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies based in the Deir Ezzor province, have grown tired of continued US troop presence inside their territory.

On March 23, the US Department of Defense (DoD) announced retaliatory strikes against targets in Deir Ezzor, following a UAV strike against its forces in al-Hasakah.

Earlier today, a US contractor was killed and five US service members and one additional US contractor were wounded after a one-way unmanned aerial vehicle struck a maint...

At least six people have been killed and another 23 wounded in a motorcycle bombing near the Sayeda Zeinab mosque, in a southern suburb of the Syrian capital, the Interior Ministry has said. A motorbike carrying explosives detonated on a crowded street in the Damascus countryside on Thursday evening, according to Syrian officials, who later shared photos of the aftermath on social media. One resident cited by Reuters said he heard a blast at around 5:30 pm local time, after which security forces quickly sealed off the area. The Interior Ministry said multiple agencies responded to the "terrorist explosion," including officers with Syria's Criminal Security Directorate. Another local told AFP that the explosion took place "near a security building" meters from the Sayeda Zeinab mosque, adding that they "heard a huge blast and people began to run."

Syrian pound in decline

The Syrian pound has lost about 30 percent of its value in two months, the London-based Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper reported on Saturday.

The lira stood at over 12,000 pounds against the US dollar on 21 July, the lowest exchange rate on record, according to the newspaper.

The lira value has been in free fall for two months, since it passed 9,000 lira to the US dollar on 11 May.

The price of gold also jumped to its highest level against the pound, with the price of 21-karat one gram costing 595,000 lira.

Syrian traders said the price of essential goods has increased by up to 40 percent amid the currency woes.
